Four Seasons Astir Palace Hotel Athens will Open Spring 2018

Four Seasons is on a roll. The luxury hospitality brand’s expansion continues with the newly announced Four Seasons Astir Palace Hotel Athens – the first Four Seasons in Greece.
Situated on a 75-acre estate on a pine-covered private peninsula, the resort has an Olympic-sized pool and a private beach on what’s considered the “Athens Riviera”—16 miles south of the bustling capital. Overlooking the Saronic Gulf, the property is owned by Astir Palace Vouliagmeni S.A. (“Astir Palace”) and is currently closed for a major renovation. When it emerges from the 100 million-euro refurbishment in spring 2018, the seaside resort will be reborn as a Four Seasons. The peninsula is also home to residences, a marina, high-end shops and fine dining, like Matsuhisa Athens by Nobu.

Here’s what to expect at the new Four Seasons Astir Palace Hotel Athens: A room count of 300, including suites and bungalows; a state-of-the-art spa and fitness room; conference and event spaces to entice both businesses and weddings; infinity pools; and a beachside promenade. The New York-based Meyer Davis Studio has been tapped to design the interiors; Meye Davis is also behind the look of the 1 Hotel South Beach, Four Seasons Houston and Le Meridien in New Orleans. Stay tuned for news about the resort’s culinary concepts.

In the official press release, Four Seasons president and CEO J. Allen Smith, says, “As one of Europe’s most popular travel destinations, Greece has long been an area of interest for Four Seasons and we are pleased to mark our entry into this important market in partnership with Astir Palace Vouliagmeni S.A.”
