The Bugatti Chiron uses diamonds in its high end audio system

While the Bugatti Chiron (with its price tag that’s as heavy as the 2 ton car itself) has made its way to the top of billionaire wish lists, the surprising additions in the car never seem to stop coming.
The Euro 2.2 million ($2.6 million) car may have the looks of an automobile demigod and the 1,500 horsepower strength of an army but what really sets it apart for us is an unlikely specification.

The Bugatti Chiron is decked with four tweeters to entertain and inform the traveler while on the move. However, these speakers aren’t ordinary, high-fidelity sound drivers. They are made of diamonds! Each of the four tweeters within the car have a one-carat diamond membrane for precision sound output and purest output. A company by the name of Accutron manufactures these speakers included to leverage the benefits of this high-fidelity sound source. A research finding that inspired the inclusion of the precious material in the build states that “membranes made of CVD diamond enable audio frequencies of up to 100kHz to be transmitted, values that are not achievable with any other material.”

One thing’s for sure. When you’re whizzing around in this beast of a machine, your audial experiences wouldn’t have to listen to distorted sound, irrespective of how loud you decide to pump those beats.
