Zuhair Murad Fall 2013 Couture Collection

There must be something in the Lebanese culture that raises such a strong aesthetic appreciation we can spot in both Zuhair Murad’s and Elie Saab’s works. To be honest, it was some kind of deja vu that hit me, when I saw Murad’s collection. Those floor-length gowns embroidered and embellished; models’ hair twisted in buns; and a bride closing the show – I have already seen it somewhere. But there is a difference, pretty obvious to anyone’s eye. Zuhair Murad offers a bolder style, elegant yet edgy. Hairstyle is not that sleek, eyes are heavily lined, and it is not all about classic gowns. Sheer panels, cut-outs, and thigh-high slits add some alternative zest to the whole collection.

A bodysuit along with a fur mantle over creates a very contradictory image. On one hand, we see a sophisticated woman with an exquisite taste, who wears fur in a casual manner. On the other hand, she pairs it with a sheer suit, revealing more than it covers, so matter-of-factly as if it was something ordinary to do. Well, if this is her way to impress people, why not? It is all about being in love with herself, after all.
A blue turtleneck dress with long sleeves – classically boring? It might have been, if it wasn’t all see-through. If you wear such a frock, it will be pretty hard to tell what people are apprising – the dress or your voluptuous curves. Either way, it is worth to try and enjoy the fruits of your labor.
A beautiful strapless mermaid gown in silver attracts attention of thousands of people. I would totally opt for this dress, if I had to attend a fashionable party. For one reason, I love bustier dresses the most. Another thing that I adore about this awesome piece of clothing is its intricate design as well as the color choice.
